Nineteen and over

The carriage barn is open only to people aged 19 and over, which is the age Prince Edward Island sets and differs from the 18 that most places use. The front page asks you to confirm your age before going further, but the check that counts takes place at the barn door, with photo identification in hand, on every visit.

No gambling happens on this website

These pages describe a hotel and the building behind it. The website offers no games, takes no stakes, holds no accounts, accepts no deposits and moves no money, so nothing done here can win or lose anything. Gaming takes place at 54 Hillsborough Street, in the carriage barn.

Accuracy

Hours, rooms and descriptions are kept current, though they can still be wrong at times: supper may be off, a room out of service, or the path closed while the boards are replaced. Nothing here is an offer capable of acceptance, and no page creates a contract. A booking exists once the desk has confirmed it by telephone or email, on the terms given then.

Our material

Text, drawings, photographs and the arrangement of them belong to the hotel or are used with permission. You may read the material, print a page or link to it. Without written permission you may not republish it, copy it elsewhere or use it to train a model.

Conduct on the property

Staff may refuse service, refuse entry at the barn, or ask a guest to leave, where someone is intoxicated, abusive, unable to produce identification, or spoiling the place for others. In the gaming room the decision of whoever is working the floor stands at the time, and any disagreement should be raised with the front desk afterwards.

Availability

The site is provided as it stands. We do not promise that it will always be reachable, and it may be taken down for maintenance without notice.

Liability

We are liable for what the law does not permit us to exclude, and nothing here limits your rights under consumer protection legislation. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website, for example a journey made on the strength of an hour listed here that had changed.

Governing law

The law of Prince Edward Island and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it govern this site and these terms, and the courts of Prince Edward Island have jurisdiction.
